Salman Khan has proven to be one of the most entertaining hosts on the small screen. But now the actor has taken a step further in the television industry as he is producing a TV series. Interestingly, it will be based on the life of wrestler Ghulam Mohammed aka the Great Gama.
You may recall that not just Salman Khan but John Abraham also wanted to make a film on the same subject. However, neither of their respective projects worked out for the big screen. And now Salman Khan has decided to bring the story on Television instead.
A renowned newspaper spoke to a source close to the project who said, "This will mark Salman Khan's first television project as producer. The pilot episode has been shot and sent to the channel concerned.”
The full cast of the film is yet to be decided but we hear that Sohail will be playing the role of Gama Pehalwan. The story is set in Amritsar which was Gama's hometown during the Partition.
As of now Salman Khan is looking forward to his upcoming project Tubelight which is allegedly based on Hollywood film Little Boy. The film is a historical drama and is based on the 1962 Sino India war. Shah Rukh Khan will also be playing a cameo in the film which also features actress Zhu Zhu and Sohail Khan in the lead roles.
Apart from Tubelight, the actor is also shooting for the second installment of Ek Tha Tiger which also features Katrina Kaif in the lead role. Yesterday director Ali Abbas Zafar shared a picture of a cement factory where they shot a few scenes of the film. "Shooting @TigerZindaHai at the stunning Arkan cement factory thank you authorities for your priceless support, trust me it looks beautiful," he tweeted.
